Juvéderm XC

Juvéderm XC is an injectable gel that is applied into the facial tissue to correct fine lines, wrinkles, and folds. Once injected, it restores the skin’s volume and stimulates the production of the collagen and elastin to maintain the skin’s elasticity and fullness. The formula attracts water once it is injected in the desired area. By attracting water, it helps to fill and smooth the surface replacing the fat tissue that we lose naturally as we age. We inject Juvéderm XC gel to smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your smile lines or nasolabial folds which are the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth.

Results

Our patients will see results immediately after the first session. Some patients that get treated after a year will only need a small retouch with less product than before. Research has shown that repeated injections may stimulate the body’s natural reaction to produce collagen and less filler may be needed in the future.

Side effects

Allergic reactions to the product are rare. Patients with side effects may present swelling of the skin, redness, bruising, bumps and skin irritation, these symptoms should not last more than 14 days in most patients.
